WEAVE Privacy Policy

Effective September 6, 2026.

WEAVE is a video-editing app. This policy explains how the current app handles information when you edit videos, use music, generate captions, and purchase Pro.

Your projects and media

WEAVE stores projects, imported media, downloaded music, edit settings, and generated captions in its app storage on your device. Video composition, beat analysis, effects, and export run locally. WEAVE does not upload your projects to a WEAVE account or provide its own cloud project-sync service. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings.

You choose the photos, videos, and files to import through the system pickers. Saving an exported video to Photos requires permission. Exporting or sharing through another app sends that exported content to the destination you choose, under that destination's policies.

Optional captions

Captions use Apple's Speech framework after you grant speech-recognition permission. WEAVE requests on-device recognition when supported. Where it is not supported, Apple's service may process clip audio remotely. Apple's privacy practices apply to that processing. You can avoid this processing by not using automatic captions and can revoke permission in iOS Settings.

Music and network requests

Loading the music catalog and downloading or previewing music connects to WEAVE's Vercel-hosted service and music-file providers, including Mixkit. These services receive technical request information such as IP address, requested resource, and connection information to deliver and protect their services. Their infrastructure may retain operational or security logs under their own policies.

If you choose to import a Suno link, WEAVE requests that song's page and audio from Suno. Suno receives the request and associated technical information. WEAVE does not ask for your Suno password. A link import does not grant music rights.

Soundstripe is currently disabled in the public music picker pending production licensing. It is not an active catalog offering in this release.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. WEAVE uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to enable Pro and stores the last-known entitlement locally. WEAVE does not receive your payment-card number.

Tracking and advertising

The current app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral-analytics SDKs, does not request an advertising identifier, and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-app targeted advertising. Network delivery and Apple's services are not the same as an absence of all data processing.

Control and retention

You can delete saved projects in WEAVE. Imported copies or downloaded songs may remain in app storage after a project is removed. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app does not. Exported copies in Photos, files you shared, and device backups are separate and must be managed in their respective services. Do not delete originals or backups you wish to keep.

You can manage Photos and speech permissions in iOS Settings and subscriptions through your Apple Account. For information held by Apple, Suno, Mixkit, or hosting providers independently, their privacy policies and rights-request processes also apply.

Privacy requests and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. We will handle applicable requests without discrimination. We cannot retrieve local projects that have never been sent to us.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and identify the updated date. Material new processing will be disclosed as required before it is introduced.
